The CAD is deeply saddened by the passing of Doris MacKillop

The Canadian Association of the Deaf is deeply saddened by the passing of Doris MacKillop on April 7th.

Doris was the first woman president of the CAD, serving in the 1970s as our third president.  She was the widow of Don MacKillop, who was one of the leading CAD directors in the 1950s and 1960s.  Doris was appointed a Life Member of the CAD in the early 1990s.  It was quite the family tradition to volunteer their many skills, time, and energy to the work of the CAD!

We send our condolences to her family.
